Our Conduct Policy
The safety of our staff + patients are our priority.
Zero Tolerance
All our staff are trained and dedicated to serving you with courtesy and respect at all times.
In return, we ask that you and anyone accompanying you to the clinic, treat our administrative and clinical staff with the same courtesy and respect.
We have zero tolerance on threatening, aggressive or abusive behaviour toward staff, including shouting, swearing, aggressive actions/violent behaviour, threats, inappropriate gestures and name calling.
Engaging in such a manner may result in the ceasing of your medical care at our practice and being transferred to another service.
Staff Conduct
All Practitioners, Clinical and Administration staff agree to maintain professionalism and uphold registration standards at all times, complying with practice policies and remain within their legal scope of practice.
Anti-Discrimination Policy
All doctors and staff at this Practice are expected to treat patients with respect, courtesy and understanding at all times. No patient will be refused access to medical care from a doctor on the basis of their sex, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference or medical condition.
We practice culturally appropriate care and find it valuable to have information about a patient’s cultural/ethnic background to provide the best possible service. We encourage patients to self-identify this background when they register with the practice.
We offer support to those with needing Interpreter services, advising the use of TIS (Translating and Interpreting Service) on 131 450 to which all our doctors are registered. Patients with hearing impairments have accessibility to a free interpreting service through AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) and can be reached on 1800 246 945.
Facilities for patients with a disability are provided, including a gradient ramp at the front door for easy wheelchair access and appropriately spaced toilet amenities with handrails. We also have two wheelchairs on-site if a patient requires assistance.
Consent for Participation in Research
This practice occasionally participates in research projects which require personal health data of patients. All patients approached for participation in research projects will be given explanatory information about the project. If identified patient health information is required, patients must give written consent for their involvement. We will not release any information without patient’s consent.
Continuing Education + Professional Development
All staff members undertake regular professional development as we strive to maintain a high level of clinical expertise and commitment to ongoing education.
Medical Students
We are training the next generation of doctors. We have students from Melbourne University that attend our medical practice in order to further their learning. If you do not wish to have a medical student present in your appointment, please let our reception team and your doctor know before your appointment.
